Westnet Voting Delegates

Westnet is an affinity organization that grew out of the NSFnet regional network called Westnet and has existed since 1986. Westnet holds bi­annual meetings that include technical presentations from participants and invited guest speakers. Westnet provides an opportunity to network with political and technical contacts from organizations sharing similar background, purpose and concerns. Westnet advances the research and educational goals of government, nonprofit, research, and educational participants in the western region by collaborating and exchanging information. Westnet is governed by representatives from its research and education based membership.

Westnet Voting Delegate Organizations are defined as:

  • Universities, research organizations, non­profit corporations, government agencies, or Emeritus status

  • Located in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming

  • Attends and participates in person at Westnet Meetings at least once every year including Emeritus Westnet Delegates
